Wildlife Training Specialist

As a Wildlife Training Specialist, you will play a key role in empowering both new and experienced service professionals to excel. You’ll serve as a mentor, trainer, and coach for regional teams, ensuring exceptional service and continuous professional growth. This position offers the opportunity to directly contribute to the success of wildlife operations across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Training & Coaching: Lead training sessions for both new and veteran service professionals, offering personalized coaching to enhance their technical expertise and field performance.
• Regional Support & Ownership: Take responsibility for the ongoing development and coaching of regional teams. Provide dedicated support to ensure consistent performance and growth across all locations.
• Monthly Regional Presence: Coordinate schedules to ensure on-site visits to each location at least once a month. Locations include Acworth, East Cobb, Marietta, Smyrna, Tucker, PTC, Gainesville, and Canton (subject to change).
• Collaborative Strategy: Work closely with the Regional Manager to assess and align the region’s training and support needs, ensuring consistency and effectiveness across all teams.
• Liaison to LTS: Serve as the main point of contact between the regional teams and the Director of Learning and Technical Services (LTS), maintaining clear communication to support regional objectives.
• Ongoing Professional Development: Stay current with industry’s best practices by attending required continuing education and technical workshops, continually enhancing your expertise.
• Certifications & Compliance: Obtain and maintain all necessary certifications, registrations, and licenses required for the role.
• Performance Evaluation: Assess the learning and service quality performance of team members in the field, providing constructive feedback and identifying areas for improvement.
• Customer Education: Lead educational efforts to train teams on how to effectively communicate Northwest services to customers and prospects, ensuring accurate and thorough understanding of services.
• Safety Advocacy: Champion safety standards and promote a culture of awareness and vigilance within the teams.
• Vendor Management: Ensure wildlife teams utilize approved vendors for necessary materials and supplies, maintaining consistency and quality in service delivery.
• Reporting Structure: Report directly to the Regional Manager with a dotted line to the Director of Learning and Technical Services, ensuring alignment of regional and organizational goals.

What you need:

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred
• 5 years, plus preferred knowledge and experience at Northwest
• Valid driver’s license

Physical Demands / Working Environment: 

We require the ability to pass a drug screen. Candidates must meet physical job requirements and safely perform the job duties with or without accommodation: 

• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer's weight capacity
• Able to lift and move ladders larger than 32 foot, and climb 60 feet 
• Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, roof tops, etc.
• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
