Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Provide Professional Optometric Services.
- Ability to work closely and collaborate with our medical staff.
- Analyze a patient's medical history, medication allergies, physical condition, and examination results to determine the best procedure.
- Address concerns or answer questions that patients may have about their health and well-being.
- Knowledge should include, but not be limited to, surgical postoperative management, anterior and posterior ocular segment disease, glaucoma, ocular trauma, and neurologic diseases.
- Demonstrate interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- The ability to obtain a license with the Alaska State Board of Optometry.
- Comprehensive postgraduate experience is desirable in a medical setting.
- One (1) to Two (2) plus years of experience managing medical eye conditions or successful completion of an ACOE-accredited residency program.
