We are independently owned and patient-focused with three clinic locations and over 100 healthcare providers, support staff and administrative professionals working as a team to deliver outstanding health care.
Position: Patient Initiator
Location: Plymouth
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Documents all pertinent information in the patient’s chart so that the history is up to date and accurate including completion of medical forms and prior authorizations.
- Assists clinic with specialty tests for patients.
- Complete supply ordering and inventory.
- Sterilizes and maintains equipment and supplies so they are available as needed.
- Ensures that spoiled linens, containers, and potential infectious waste are appropriately disposed of according to the infectious control guidelines.
- May perform preliminary patient examination such as taking vital, verifying medications and allergies, and documenting them. Review preventative service needs and educates the patient about the visit.
- May perform various telephone duties such as informing patients of test results, and relaying information and messages, so that communication between clinic and patient is clear and concise.
- Maintains confidentiality by keeping all patient and medical information seen and heard in the strictest confidence.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Pre- PA Students strongly encouraged to apply
- High School Diploma or GED
- Have knowledge of electronic medical records.
- Excellent teamwork abilities
- Excellent communication/listening/customer service skills
- Willing to work in a fast paced environment while handling multiple tasks with accuracy.
- Computer knowledge to use scheduling software and Microsoft Suite
