Job Summary:
Northwest Fire Systems is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Parts Runner to support our team by ensuring timely delivery and pickup of materials, tools, and supplies. This role is essential for keeping job sites and technicians fully equipped and operating efficiently. The ideal candidate will be organized, have a strong work ethic, and be able to navigate efficiently between job sites, vendors, and warehouses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick up and deliver fire protection equipment, tools, and materials to job sites and technicians.
- Maintain an organized inventory of commonly used parts and ensure proper documentation of pickups and drop-offs.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials at job sites, ensuring proper handling and storage.
- Coordinate with project managers, technicians, and warehouse staff to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and ensure the company vehicle is in good working condition.
- Keep detailed records of deliveries, receipts, and inventory transactions.
- Assist in warehouse duties, including stocking, organizing, and pulling orders as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies while making deliveries and working in the field.
- Assist with general tasks on job sites when needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs frequently.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of basic hand tools and fire protection equipment is a plus.
- Ability to navigate efficiently and use GPS for route planning.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well with team members.
- Prior experience in warehousing, construction, or fire protection industry is preferred but not required.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to drive, lift, carry, and transport materials.
- Work in a warehouse, job site, and outdoor environments with varying conditions.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, physically demanding environments.
