Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) - Wound Healing Institute
Northwest Florida Community Hospital (NFCH), in Chipley, FL, is seeking a FT experienced, energetic and dedicated APRN to provide exceptional care for our patients in support with other medical providers and staff, in our Wound Care Institute!
General Summary:
Under general supervision, and according to general policies and standardized procedures, the NFCH ARNP works collaboratively with other clinical and medical professionals to provide comprehensive care for our patients. Conducts comprehensive wound assessments, identify underlying causes, and determine appropriate treatment plans. Implements and monitors wound care plans, including debridement, dressing changes, and other therapies. Educates patients and their families about wound care, prevention, and self-management techniques. Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and progress.

Qualifications:
- Must have graduated from an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner training program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- A current Board of Nursing License to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state practicing
- A valid Board of Nursing License as a Registered Nurse in the state practicing
- Must maintain current BLS certification
- Focuses on patient and family education and assists patients and their families in their efforts toward recovery and rehabilitation.
- Monitors patient care and treatment.
- Document all patient care within an electronic health record.
- Respond to patient care inquiries throughout the day.
- Increase patient engagement and satisfaction through integration of feedback from patients, management, and professional colleagues.
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Document patient progress, treatments, and responses accurately in medical records.
- Evaluate and manage potential complications arising from wound conditions or hyperbaric treatments.
