Registered Nurse Supervisor - Skilled Nursing Unit (MID-SHIFT, 3PM - 11PM, Monday - Friday)

GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Skilled Nursing Unit Nursing Supervisor is a Registered Nurse, currently licensed to practice nursing in the State of Florida. The Supervisor is responsible for promoting and maintaining quality patient care through effective management of the activities of the total patient care services during his/her assigned shift. In the absence of Administrative staff, the Supervisor has the authority and responsibility for specific decisions to maintain a functional unit and will make appropriate notification of on-call Administrative staff.
Education:
Graduate of accredited school of nursing Associate or Bachelor of Science.
Experience:
Minimum experience six months to a year, depending on previous experience and unit need. One year experience as nurse manager or charge nurse preferred.
Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations:
Current, Florida Registered Nurse License
BLS
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Possesses strong verbal communication skills; demonstrating ability to communicate with adult and geriatric age groups.
- Management/Leadership skills, Customer Service Skills, Clinical Skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team environment.
- Ability to communicate and work closely with physicians
- Ability to adapt to changing patient flow schedules.
- Knowledge of EMR system(s) and documentation requirements.
- Knowledge of patient confidentiality standards and requirements.
