Northwest Florida Community Hospital -
Provides indirect care in the department setting. Monitors telemetry monitors for alarms in order to immediately notify available nursing staff. Meets communication needs of the department. Transcribes physician orders from records with notation and signatures by nursing staff. Prepares and compiles records in the department. Maintains regulatory body requirements, policies and procedures and participates in performance improvement activities.
Education
Preferred High School Graduate
Experience
Preferred Unit Secretary, Certified Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant training
Licenses, Certifications and / or Registrations :
Current BLS certification PREFERRED, Cardiac monitoring certificate encouraged, training required for basic knowledge of telemetry.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills :
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English, additional languages preferred. Basic computer knowledge / word processing. Medical terminology preferred. Able to recognize arrhythmias and interpret cardiac rhythms after training
