Job Description
Adjunct (part-time) instructors are hired on an as-needed, term-by-term (or per course) basis. By applying for this position, you will be joining the part-time instructional pool for consideration as a prospective adjunct instructor.
2D Drawing classes will be in person only classes, while the 2D Design class will be a Hybrid class
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Provide classroom instruction, and student guidance and support as assigned by the chair, while being familiar with and abiding by college policies.
- Provide excellence in instruction for 2-dimensional art within the Fine and Performing Arts Department for undergraduate students, including online courses.
- Assist in development and evaluation of curriculum as appropriate.
- Serve as an ambassador for outreach for 2-dimensional art
- Have a working knowledge of tools needed for the creation of 2-dimensional works.
- Coordinate and promote student participation in appropriate competitions, conferences, and festivals.
- Complete annual mandatory compliance training.
- Utilize the Learning Management System (LMS) following college policies and procedures.
- Support students by engaging them in class, answering questions in a timely manner, and referring them for additional support when necessary.
