The Building Construction Specialist Instructor position is directly accountable to the Director of Skilled Trades.
Classification: Part-Time Adjunct Instructor
Grant Funded: N
Rate of Pay: $1,800 to $2,214 per class (Based on level of degree. Pay rate listed is for a 3 hour credit course.)
Location: Niceville

The Building Construction Specialist Instructor position is directly accountable to the Director of Skilled Trades.
- Work with the Director of Skilled Trades and the Construction Trades Program Coordinator to ensure successful program planning and implementation of program objectives to ensure success of enrolled students.
- Implement program and course curriculum, including learning assessments as directed by the program coordinator.
- Teach assigned courses to the highest standards.
- Utilize the approved textbooks and/or other instructional materials as approved.
- Utilize the LMS following college policies and procedures.
- Maintain responsibility, accountability and inventory control for equipment and supplies for Niceville Building Construction program.
- Be familiar with and abide by the college policies.
- As a part of the college's risk management tool annual mandatory compliance training is required.
- Perform other duties assigned program administrators.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution with three year's of documented experience in construction trades or Associate's Degree from an accredited institution with seven years of documented experience in construction trades or a High School Diploma with 10 years of documented experience in construction trades.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, computer experience with Microsoft office or comparable software applications.
- Must be proactive, creative, and innovative.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to act independently with minimum supervision.
- Active Certified, General Contractor License
- All degrees must be from a regionally accredited postsecondary institution.
