Northwest Habilitation Services - Supported Housing Supervisor
Supervising Locations: Wilsonville, Downtown and N. Portland
Reports To - Assistant Program Manager
Job Overview - The Supported Housing Supervisor is a full-time (30 hours) hourly position. The position provides in-the-field support, guidance, and leadership to the Direct Support Specialist. The Facilities Supervisor monitors progress made by adults with chronic mental illness toward specified life goals. Supervisors will work with a localized group of clients.
Pay/ Additional Benefits - Hourly Position. Pay $23 an hour. Mileage reimbursement and travel time between clients.
Responsibilities and Duties - The Supported housing supervisor uses a person-centered approach to work from a client-centered support plan tailored to the specific needs of the individual receiving services. Using their own experience and as guided by the training they work with the client base to better life skills and quality of life. The supervisor will also interact with clinical and property management at each individual supported housing structure to aide in client renewals and general client related engagement.
- Provide In Person visits on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly schedule depending on client need. Schedule to fill in for DSS that call out or are on PTO to maintain engagement with client interactions when needed.
- Train New Hires when applicable
- Take on new clients as they are referred to us through our community partners to establish a plan and set a schedule for future hand-offs to DSS staff.
- Maintain regular contact with DSS assigned to their client group and be available to assist their DSS team with questions or concerns that arise.
- Attend meetings in person or over Zoom with Management/Admin teams to assist with questions/ concerns/feedback and schedule updates when needed.
- Maintain relations with property management and case management teams for assigned clientele.
- Areas of work are the greater portland metro area with a specific zone assigned during the onboarding process. Currently, our opening is for our westside territories
Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver's license and working vehicle as the job requires traveling within the assigned area
- Prior experience in the mental health community is preferred.
- Ability to provide culturally competent treatment services to diverse client populations.
- Must be organized and demonstrate the ability to work in a self-directed environment.
- Must be able to lift at least 20 lbs.
- Must be able to pass a DHS background check
