Description
Multiple positions to fill, corresponding to separate regions that are currently being modified. Regular travel is required throughout assigned region.
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the medical, behavioral health, dental clinic or pharmacy, per assignment.
- Provide clinic leadership to improve patient, provider and employee satisfaction.
- Identify opportunities to improve quality, increase safety and efficiency.
- Assure compliance with applicable local, state and federal regulatory standards.
- Initiate the development and revision of policies, in accordance with the Chief Executive Officer, or their designee.
- Directs and evaluates clinic staffing and scheduling to ensure service excellence and quality patient care.
- Provide direct supervision of clinics Patient Access Assistants, Medical Assistants, Nurses and coordinate with other clinic employees supervisors, as needed.
- Provide on-going feedback to NWHS employees to ensure effectiveness in role.
- Prepare and analyze clinic operational reports to identify variances and monitor performance.
- Prepare documentation and provide support in the acquisition of equipment and supplies.
- Fosters the goals of teambuilding with clinic staff to assist providers with building a successful clinic.
- Functions as a cross-departmental liaison to support collaboration and organizational consistency.
- Maintains a system of confidentiality according to all NWHS policies and procedures.
- Routinely interacts with patients and staff to maintain awareness of satisfaction needs of services provided.
- Utilizes policies and good judgement to support sound decision-making.
- Identifies problems and develops plan for resolution. Consults with provider and other members of NWHS leadership, when appropriate.
- Develops and monitors standards to comply with clinic operational safety, infection control and environmental aesthetics.
- Enforces OSHA and Infection Control Standards for clinic.
- Conducts clinic specific orientation for all new staff to ensure professional competency.
- Train clinic new hires on EHR system or designate existing staff with same job description to train new hires and ensure support along the process with regular check ins.
- Conduct 90 day reviews with new hire clinic staff and annual reviews with all clinic support staff.
- Assist with community engagement events and employee team building events.
- Provide coaching and accountability when necessary of clinic staff to ensure a cohesive and productive team.
- Assist with the timely annual budget process by working in collaboration with Provider(s) to determine encounter numbers, expected expenses and submit to Northwest Chief Financial Officer.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field, or an equivalent amount of experience. Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business or a related field, is preferred.
- Three (3) years of healthcare operations management/supervisory experience. Master’s level education may be considered in lieu of total experience. Four (4) years of progressive relevant leadership/management experience is preferred. Previous clinic management experience is preferred.

- Intermediate knowledge of EHR systems, and ability to train other staff.
- Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to utilize analytical decision-making to assess and resolve problems and issues.
- Ability to directly address and manage conflict.
- Ability to utilize emotional intelligence to evaluate situations using multiple lens to resolve problems.
- Ability to build relationships and supervise staff.
