What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Worker II PRN - NW Health Springdale position at Northwest Health System Springdale?
Key qualifications to be considered for this include:
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- 1 year of related clinical experience (has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the particular field of mental or behavioral health)
- Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Record and document vital signs
- Supervise meals
- Record and document meal percentages
- Encourage daily patient self-care (hygiene)
- Prepare and supervise snacks
- Perform and document safety checks on each patient every 15 minutes
- Perform and document room/contraband checks to ensure safety
- Plan and implement therapeutic activity
- Complete risk prevention measures (fall, allergy)
- Assist in admit/discharge process
- Assist patients with basic activities of daily living
- Create a safe, therapeutic environment
- Build rapport and use de-escalation when necessary
