Certification Details BLS - Basic Life Support ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support NIH Stroke Certification Job Details Outpatient bariatric surgery clinic working with obese patients. The LPN role functions as our preop nurse. LPN tracks and records diagnostic testing results, coordinates surgery dates, and frequently communicates with patients by phone to ensure patients complete the necessary testing prior to surgery. This role is more administrative than clinical. Clinical background is used to identify and interpret diagnostic test results. On the clinical side it is primarily patient education for which we have standardized paperwork to educate patients on, obtaining and recording vital signs, and inputting medication lists and medical history. Assisting surgeon with surgical drain removal occasionally which can be taught. Someone that is organized, good with technology, and upbeat personality would do well. Our patients need a cheerleader on their weight loss journey. Job Requirements BLS required Cerner experience preferred 1st time travelers accepted Schedule Information M-F 8a-4 : 30p Unit Specific Information Unit-Specific Skills Checklist required.
