Northwest Indiana Nannies is assisting this family with their nanny search.
$19-22/hour, FT 40-55 hours/week, M-F. As busy medical professionals, this family is seeking a nanny with flexible availability, who is able to regularly work 40-55 hours per week. Ideally this position will be long term (3-7 years) with the expectation that the nanny will stay with their growing family, as they are planning to have another child in the future. This position will have a 1 year Work Agreement with expected renewals.
The main responsibilities of this position will be the care of the child and related duties, as outlined below. An active caregiving style and open communication are important to this family and are therefore required personal values to be considered for this position.
Position to start November 2024. 3 Weeks PTO, and Guaranteed Hours are offered.
ABOUT THE JOB
- Schedule: Full-Time, 40-55 hours/week, M-F
- Hourly Rate: $19-22/hour. Overtime (OT) rate is 1.5x. W-2 Employment position with legal payroll and tax withholdings

- Experience Requirements:
- At least 6 months of experience with infants (under 12 months old) is required
- 2 years of professional childcare experience is required

- Easy-going and active, outgoing and social, open communication, safety and health are priorities.
- Ideal Family/Nanny Relationship:
- We are looking for someone we can trust and see as an extension of our family. We’ll be really busy with work, so schedule flexibility is important to us. We expect the nanny to be a professional partner in raising our children, as we are planning for another in about 2 years.

- Punctual, reliable, trustworthy, playful, kind, open minded to new ideas
- Pets: 2 large dogs (80 1b Blue Heeler mix and 70 lb Pitbull)
- House Management Responsibilities: none
- Level of Activity: Being able to keep up with the baby as he begins moving more is important. Swimming in the pool when he is older, as well as outdoor activities in the large yard are expected. The home has three levels with stairs, ground level, second floor, and finished basement.

Qualification Requirements
- Experience with children, especially infants
- 2 Years previous nannying or relevant professional childcare experience
- Knowledge of infant care best practices
- CPR & First aid certification required
- Experience in meal preparation and cooking for children
- Familiarity with preschool activities and teaching methods
