Come join our caring team of Early Childhood Educators! NENCAP is looking for an Early Childhood Teacher to guide and care for children birth through age 3 in our Early Head Start (EHS) Program in Norfolk, NE. This position is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The starting wage with a Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) is $17.00 per hour, plus benefits, with wage increases based on education and experience. Bilingual skills are a plus.

JOB SUMMARY : EHS Teachers are responsible for understanding, planning, and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for children. Responsibilities include promoting nurturing relationships, encouraging self-help skills, working with families to identify goals, assisting children with personal hygiene, developing weekly lesson plans, conducting screenings, communicating with parents, completing educational home visits, attending MDT and IFSP meetings, entering documentation, managing child data / reports, and maintaining a clean organized room. Frequent kneeling, stooping, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds is required. Confidentiality of program participants must be maintained, following Program and Agency standards and policies.
EDUCATION : An Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or advanced degree in early childhood education or a related field with experience in teaching 0-3 early education and care, or a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. Opportunities to obtain a CDA or advance a degree are provided.
WAGE & BENEFITS : The starting wage is $17.00 per hour, plus benefits including health, life, dental, and vision insurance.
