The Powerline Instructor position at Northwest Iowa Community College involves conducting effective instruction in all assigned areas, using approved course outlines. This includes teaching students about utility work, electrical theory, and safety procedures.
- Develop and maintain current course syllabi/outlines for assigned courses.
- Notify the Division Dean, Vice President of Instruction and Learning Services, designee, or individual in charge as early as possible of inability to meet a class.
- Measure and evaluate student progress and maintain accurate grade computations.
This position requires a strong background in the electrical field, with experience in supervision or management being preferred. You must hold a valid CDL license or be able to obtain one within 90 days of employment. Basic computer skills are also essential.
