Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Line Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Northwest Iowa Community College. As a Line Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting effective instruction in all assigned areas, using approved course outlines. You will develop and maintain current course syllabi/outlines for assigned courses, notify the Division Dean of any changes, and evaluate student progress.
- You will work closely with students to help them achieve their goals, and assist in the budgeting process by identifying instructional materials and equipment.
- You will serve as a resource person for students and graduates regarding job opportunities, and enforce all college policies.
- You will have the opportunity to participate in professional development activities, and provide written course expectations to students.
The ideal candidate will have a Diploma/Associate of Applied Science Degree from an accredited Powerline Program or completion of a formal Journeyman Lineman Program. Five years related work experience in utility work is also required.
