Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care, including taking vital signs and documenting patient information accurately.
- Maintain organized patient records and ensure compliance with clinic systems and protocols.
- Support the administration of medical procedures, including coding and documentation for billing purposes.
- Interact with patients to gather medical histories and provide instructions for care.
- Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers to enhance the patient experience.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinical environment to promote safety and efficiency.
- Stay updated on medical terminology and best practices in patient care.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a clinical setting such as a hospital, urgent care, or pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and coding practices.
- Ability to accurately measure and record vital signs.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact compassionately with patients of all ages, including geriatrics.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems is an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
