Who We Need:
We are seeking compassionate LPN's (Licensed Practical Nurse) and RN's to join our team. The position will involve administering low dose ketamine infusions in a warm, supporting environment. This is a great opportunity to combine clinical nursing and mental health nursing in a way that offers both personal and professional fulfillment.
We have 8 hour, 10 hour shifts, and also open positions for Saturday and evening shifts. Availability to also work at other locations to cover for vacations if needed is highly valued but not required. We are looking for nurses who want to stay with us for a long time and contribute to our team in a way that helps build unity, expertise, and camaraderie among our staff.
Who You are:
As a key player in the success of our clinic, you will work under the direction of the ARNP on site, and will work within established protocols and guidelines starting IV’s, monitoring patients, and providing infusions. Patient care ratio is largely 1:1, with occasional need for supporting additional patients. Clinical care is only part of the job - developing relationships with our patients and supporting them on their journey to wellness is equally important to success in this role.
Duties/ responsibilities overview:
- Start IVs
- Administer infusions per protocol, under the direction of the CRNA or ARNP
- Monitoring of patients during infusions
- Documentation of patient care
- Patient education and follow-up (including follow-up phone calls)
- Ensure patient safety and safe work environment
- Provide supportive, safe environment for our patients
Requirements/ Qualifications:
- 2 years nursing experience preferred
- Active, unrestricted Washington State LPN or RN license
- Psychiatric or mental health nursing could be helpful but not required
- IV skills
- Essential traits: compassion, humility, strong work ethic, positive attitude, honesty, ability to get along with others, integrity, wisdom, and emotional intelligence.
- High attention to detail
- Sound personal judgment and decision-making
- Demonstrated ability to show empathy toward patients, treating them with respect and compassion
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- ACLS certification is a plus
- Exceptional patient / customer service skills
