Position Overview
The Senior IT Specialist adds to the organization capabilities and improves the long-term IT infrastructure and services while working independently from their assigned campus, coordinating efforts with the IT team and company staff. As a Tier II position, the individual in this role will be the first point of escalation for IT assistance per campus ensuring a polished, helpful presence at all times, making certain IT needs are met at every turn.

*UP TO 25% TRAVEL REQUIRED WITH THIS ROLE
In this position you will have the opportunity to:
• Show advanced skill level troubleshooting and resolving IT service tickets in operations, applications, and systems as they relate to business operations in the entire technology ecosystem stack.• Independently research technical publications and interfaces with vendor advanced technical support to achieve resolutions.• Provide IT support and troubleshoot problems for employees and customers.• Communicate the status and progress of problem(s) to the customer, user, relevant stakeholders, and leadership.• Create Knowledge Base articles for internal IT and external customer use.• Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for personnel for problem solving and project planning and provide end-user support including educational classes and mentoring.• Monitor industry trends, technologies, and standards. Research and recommend new ITSM technologies and solutions.• Participate in training and mentoring of junior staff.
Required Education & Experience
• Associates degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. • Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in a broad range of technology support.• An additional four (4) years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.

Salary
$25.60 - $28.62 per hour, DOE
