Northwest Live! Studio is a premium multimedia production facility specializing in podcast recording, audio production, and video content creation. We provide high-quality recording services to independent creators, podcasters, musicians, and content producers, helping them bring their vision to life through engaging, high-production-value media.

Position Overview

We are seeking a talented Video Editor / Camera Operator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be a creative problem solver with strong technical skills in video editing and camera operation, capable of capturing and producing studio-based content, behind-the-scenes footage, and marketing materials. This role is essential in enhancing our in-house productions and client projects while elevating the visual presence of Northwest Live! Studio.

Key Responsibilities

Studio-Focused Content Capture – Operate cameras to record high-quality video content in-studio, including interviews, podcasts, marketing materials, and behind-the-scenes footage.
Short-Form Video Editing for social media – Edit Reels, TikToks, and YouTube Shorts with engaging cuts, motion graphics, and text overlays to maximize engagement.
Multi-Camera Production & Live Recording – Set up and manage multi-camera shoots for high-production-value recordings, ensuring smooth workflow during live and pre-recorded sessions.
Content Planning & Creative Execution – Work with the team to develop engaging video concepts, shoot plans, and production schedules to optimize content output.
Equipment Management & Optimization – Maintain and optimize camera, lighting, and audio setups to ensure professional-grade quality in all studio productions.
Video File Organization & Post-Production Workflow – Manage footage from capture to final edit, ensuring efficient storage, archiving, and backup.
Client Collaboration & Production Support – Work directly with clients to understand their creative vision and bring it to life through professional editing and video storytelling.
Behind-the-Scenes & Documentary-Style Content – Capture and edit footage that highlights the energy, creativity, and work happening inside the studio, providing engaging marketing content for Northwest Live! Studio.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in professional video editing and camera operation.

Strong knowledge of lighting techniques, framing, and composition for high-quality studio production.

Experience with multi-camera setups, switching, and live production workflows.

Proficiency with DaVinci Resolve (preferred) for professional-grade editing, color grading, and finishing.

Ability to edit short-form, high-impact social media content (Reels, TikToks, Shorts).

Experience with motion graphics & animated text overlays for engaging visual storytelling.

Understanding of social media video trends and audience engagement techniques.

Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects at once.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced creative environment.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position (40 hours / week) with flexibility required to accommodate client and production schedules. Occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary based on project needs.

Compensation

Base Salary Range : $50,000 - $70,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications).

Semi-Annual Performance Bonuses : Up to 20% of base salary, tied to studio profitability and client satisfaction metrics.
