What are the responsibilities and job description for the Anesthesia Practice Manager position at Northwest Medical Center Tucson?
Manages daily operations, oversees staffing needs and efficiency of anesthesia operations. Will be the
first point of contact for all clinicians, hospital partners and the corporate office.
Anesthesia is a complex specialty and this position requires someone who is extremely organized,
hardworking and motivated, must be able to work independently.
Must be proficient in Google, Workspace and/or Microsoft Office.
Coordinates new provider hospital orientation, including EHR training and any other hospital required
onboarding prior to provider shifts.
Collect and maintain individual scheduling preferences for scheduled shifts and time off. Revise and
update schedules as needed. Coverage is at least 180 shifts per week between the 4 facilities. Assist
and participate to make sure all shifts are covered.
Manages deficient charts and works closely with coding and billing to ensure timely completion of chart
documentation.
Handles inquiries, researches problems, provides solutions, and incorporates quality improvement data
and/or patient satisfaction data into clinic goals.
Works closely with anesthesia leadership, medical directors and perioperative leaders to ensure that
patient and hospital needs are met.
Supports corporate operation teams (credentialing, provider enrollment, recruiting, revenue
cycle/coding, scheduling) by ensuring providers have completed required items.

and providers with requests.
Must be able to pull reports from the EHR and manage any required analysis and reporting
