This is a full time position working day shift at the Vail Free-Standing ED.

Join the Northwest Emergency Center at Vail! At this stand-alone facility, we offer 24 hour emergency care to patients within the Vail community and surrounding areas! You will be part of a team supporting a 12 - private room Emergency Department! Emergency services we offer include (but not limited to) the treatment of broken bones, chest pains, serious bleeding, and other care. Supported by physicians and support staff, and includes on-site radiology and lab services!

Duties: Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care. Assists physicians during examinations and procedures. Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse. Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

Qualifications

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements

Education:

ADN or Diploma in nursing program required. BSN preferred.

Experience:

Minimum: Three (3) years of experience in emergency room, must be recent – within the last 2-4 years.

Licenses/Certifications:

Required:

Current Arizona RN license or compact state license

American Heart Association (AHA)or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS,ACLS, PALS
