Summary: The Bispecifics Care Coordinator is a Certified Medical Assistant responsible for supporting the bispecifics Advanced Practice Provider (APP) and bispecifics program. This role ensures seamless communication between the APP, patients, and the bispecific team to deliver an outstanding patient and provider experience. In addition to assisting with daily patient care, the coordinator will coordinate care for bispecific patients, oversee scheduling logistics, and collaborate with various departments to ensure comprehensive support for all bispecifics patients. They will emphasize and promote patient-focused service while maintaining operational efficiency throughout every phase of the patient care process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Provide day-to-day support to the bispecifics APP.
- Coordinate bispecifics care according to the established bispecifics protocol, working with the scheduling team to ensure timely provider visits, infusion appointments, and other necessary care.
- Act as a liaison between the bispecifics team and internal/external departments, ensuring clear and frequent communication.
- Coordinate bed holds with the hospital during high-risk treatment periods.
- Screen patients for bispecific treatment needs in collaboration with the bispecifics APP, assessing housing arrangements, home support, and other essential factors.
- Prepare treatment teach packets and supplies for bispecific treatment teaches.
- Collaborate with various departments within NWMS, including nursing, infusion, research, and provider teams to ensure comprehensive patient support.
- Monitor and resolve applicable OncoEMR bispecifics task box tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
- Attend bispecific team meetings and trainings.
- Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document medical histories.
- Assist with daily patient activities to support high-quality care.
- Support telemedicine visits, including patient preparation and technical assistance.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of medical charts under provider supervision.
- Perform medical record and clerical duties to enhance provider effectiveness, efficiency, and patient flow.
- Assist with in-office procedures, including injections and bone marrow biopsies as requested.
- Coordinate appointments with providers and staff to ensure timely diagnostic and treatment services.
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms by cleaning and stocking supplies to ensure a safe and efficient patient environment.
- Provide back-office support, including stocking supplies, processing referrals, and maintaining clinical documentation.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA standards in all patient documentation and interactions.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Education/Experience
- Three or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
