What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant position at Northwest Michigan Health Services?
Northwest Michigan Health Services, Inc. is currently seeking a part time Family Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant to work in our School-Based Health Center located in the Manistee Area Public Schools. As the primary care provider you will be responsible for the provision of direct patient care at the NMHSI School-based clinic, providing comprehensive ambulatory primary health care services to students in collaboration with other health professionals and ensure continuity of care, coordination and patient follow-up. You will conduct brief screenings to evaluate the needs of students ages 3 to 21, providing referrals for more intensive services where appropriate.
Qualifications
- You must have an active State of Michigan licensure as a Registered Nurse and must have a current Advanced Nurse Practice Nurse Specialty certification in the state of Michigan, or an active State of Michigan licensure as a Physician Assistant with an active certification in the State of Michigan as a Certified Physician Assistant.
- You must have, or be eligible for DEA registration
- Current BLS Certification
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to work with children ages 3 to 21
- Must be able to meet standards required to be credentialed by appropriate insurance and regulatory plans.
