Position: Skilled Perfect Binder Operator
Status: Full-time
Salary: $30, Relocation assistance available

Location: Spokane Valley, WA.
About this role: This position serves to finish and prepare advertising, editorial, and commercial products for distribution to home delivery subscribers, mail subscribers, and other internal and external customers.
What you'll do: Operate Post Press machinery according to specific Bindery Operator classification 1-4 qualifications as defined by the Post Press labor contract, which may include pallet jacks, stacking, under-wrap and strapping machines, labelers, cutters, folders, inserting, saddle-stitch, and perfect binder equipment, etc.
- Prepare printed products off-press for delivery, insertion, or binding by precision jogging, bundling, and palletizing of those products.
- Prepare newspapers and advertising and commercial publications for delivery to subscribers, advertisers, and other external and internal customers.
- Prepare newspaper and advertising and commercial publications for mailing by inserting, bundling, labeling, and meeting appropriate postal regulations of those products.
- Perform hand insertion of commercial, advertising, and newspaper products as required.
- Work with fellow bindery operators and packaging assistants to ensuring accurate number of products are delivered to delivery personnel.
- Do basic transferring of data to computerized post-press equipment and machinery when required. Also, perform data input to and provide reports from computerized equipment and machinery.
- Participate in the training of packaging assistants and fellow bindery operators in best-practice operation of equipment and proper methods of jogging, palletizing, inserting, and tying of newspaper, advertising, and commercial products.
- Perform general maintenance and clean up on all post-press machinery and equipment.
- Continually monitor quality assurance to ensure finishing services performed by the Post Press department are of the highest standards possible.
- Other duties as assigned.
