Java Software Architect
Northwest Partners is partnering with a premier client in the technology industry to hire a full-time Java Software Architect . This role involves designing and implementing a scalable, cloud-native RESTful API ecosystem within a portable, event-driven architecture. Leveraging Confluent Kafka and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, you will help shape a modern integration platform while mentoring developers and leading best practices in API governance.
What YOU will do
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and Kafka consumers and producers using Java and follow best practices.
- Apply event-driven architecture (EDA) principles and utilize Confluent Kafka as a core technology.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and implement scalable patterns and solutions.
- Establish and lead Centers of Excellence (COEs) focused on RESTful APIs and EDA.
- Mentor junior developers, fostering continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in Java, RESTful APIs, Confluent Kafka, and related technologies, including GCP-specific services.
- Identify opportunities for optimization and automation in existing systems.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for patterns and solutions.
- Translate business needs into technical requirements and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.
- Assist in enforcing API governance and best practices.
