What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pediatric Nursery Hospitalist at Kaiser Permanente Northwest position at Northwest Permanente, P.C.?
Northwest Permanente, P.C. is currently seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Pediatrician to join our medical group as a newborn hospitalist. Nursery rounding takes place at both Kaiser Sunnyside Hospital and Westside Medical Center in our Level 1 nurseries. Scope of practice includes newborn admissions, newborn discharges, and attendance at deliveries at Westside Medical Center. There are occasional pediatric consults in the ED. PALS and NRP required. Simulation labs and resuscitation training provided. Circumcision experience desired but not required; frenotomy and circumcision training can be provided. Typical schedule would be a mix of day and night shifts with weekend coverage approximately once every 10 weeks. Holiday call and backup are shared among the nursery group. Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center has a level 3 NICU that is staffed in person by board-certified neonatologists 24 / 7 and our neonatologists provide telehealth consultations to the Westside Medical Center.
