GENERAL DESCRIPTION :
Under supervision of a designated supervisor, a Type 10 Van Driver operates a van in a highly skilled manner in transporting students to and from school on regular daily runs in accordance with state laws and regulations. Type 10 Van Drivers may also perform routine custodial, repair, maintenance, and cleaning work in school buildings.
QUALIFICATIONS : Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required :
Knowledge of :
- Laws, rules, and regulations governing the operation of a 10-passenger van
- Traffic signs and devices
- Safe motor vehicle driving techniques
- State and district rules regarding traffic safety and passenger loading
Ability to :
License :
