ABA Paraprofessional: Northwest Elementary School
2024-2025 School Year
We are seeking a dedicated ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) Paraprofessional to support students with autism and emotional needs in a general educational setting. The ideal candidate will work with special education teachers, general education teachers, and behavior specialists to implement behavior intervention plans, support academic and social development, and foster an inclusive learning environment.
Full Time, School Year Position
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates Degree or Passed the Para Pro Test preferred.
- Have ability to relate to and work with disabled children.
- Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative.
- Exhibit a personality that demonstrates interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direct supervision of the teacher, the ABA Paraprofessional shall:

- Assist students with self-regulation, social skills, and emotional coping strategies.
- Collect and record data on student progress and behavior as directed by the supervising teacher or behavior specialist.
- Assist with classroom modifications and accommodations to support student success.
- Collaborate with teachers, BCBA, and other staff to ensure a consistent approach to student learning and development.
- Facilitate structured breaks, sensory activities, and coping strategies as needed.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
