What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time School Social Worker in Stephenson County position at Northwest Special Education Cooperative?
Northwest Special Education Cooperative is seeking a part-time school social worker for placement in Stephenson County.
The successful candidate will:
–
teach social and communication skills to students with disabilities;
–
provide individual and small group therapy services as per IEPs;
–
provide outreach services to families of students;
–
participate on IEP teams for both initial- and re- evaluations for special education eligibility;
–
be a liaison for families regarding information/community resources;
–
and serve as a member of the Response to Intervention (RtI) team.
Qualifications:
The qualified individual holds a Master's Degree in social work, with a specialization in school social work, as well as the appropriate Illinois Professional Educator License with an endorsement in School Social Work.
