About NWSE: NorthWest Student Exchange (NWSE) is committed to promoting international understanding and cultural exchange. We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated Local Coordinators to support international students and enhance cross-cultural understanding within communities.
About the Role: As a Local Coordinator, you will be instrumental in finding host families and facilitating the placement of international students in local schools. This role requires networking within the community, conducting in-home interviews, and ensuring all parties have a rewarding cultural exchange experience.
Your Responsibilities:
- Exchange Student Placement: Network within your community to find families interested in hosting students. Conduct in-home interviews with potential host families to ensure compliance with NWSE standards.
- School Coordination: Work with local high schools to secure acceptance and enrollment of international students.
- Monthly Check-ins: Provide ongoing support and monthly reporting to monitor the student’s exchange experience.
- Participant Assistance: Address the needs and concerns of exchange program participants throughout their stay.
- Host Family Liaison: Maintain open communication with host families to foster positive experiences.
- Documentation: Manage accurate records and necessary paperwork for each participant.
Qualifications:
- Independent contractor (1099) status with at least one placement per season.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to organize and conduct meetings and training sessions.
Compensation:
- This is a commission-based role with no fixed salary.
- Compensation is structured as follows:
- Support 1-5 students: $800 per placement.
- Support 6-9 students: $910 per placement.
- Support 10 students: $1020 per placement.
