Position Overview :
As the Director of Research and Development you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the research and development process for our clients nutrient and mineral products. You will lead a team of scientists and researchers to develop new products improve existing ones and ensure that all products meet our high standards of quality and efficacy. This is a key leadership role within our clients organization and you will work closely with crossfunctional teams to drive innovation and growth.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead and manage the research and development team providing guidance support and mentorship to ensure the teams success.
Develop and implement strategic plans for product development including identifying new opportunities setting timelines and managing resources.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and customer needs and use this information to drive product development.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including marketing sales and production to ensure that products meet customer requirements and are delivered on time.
Oversee all stages of the product development process from concept to launch ensuring that all products meet regulatory and safety standards.
Develop and maintain relationships with external partners such as suppliers and research institutions to stay updated on industry developments and incorporate new technologies into product development.
Manage the research and development budget ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.
Stay current on industry trends and advancements in nutrient and mineral research to drive innovation and maintain our competitive edge.
Qualifications :
Bachelors Masters or PhD in Food Science Nutrition Chemistry or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in research and development with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of successfully developing and launching new products in the food and beverage industry.
Strong understanding of nutrient and mineral science and their applications in food and beverage products.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve results.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams and external partners.
Experience with regulatory requirements and safety standards for food and beverage products.
Knowledge of market trends and consumer preferences in the health and wellness industry.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Ability to travel as required.
