We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal in Supply Chain Management to join our esteemed client's team on a full-time basis. Candidates must have Aerospace experience.
As the Principal in Supply Chain Management, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the supply chain process for our client. You will work closely with our client's supply chain team to develop and implement supply chain strategies that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase overall profitability. Your role will involve leading a team of supply chain professionals and collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase profitability for our clients
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the supply chain process, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution
- Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and finance, to ensure smooth operations and effective communication
- Monitor and analyze supply chain performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to address any issues
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, and provide recommendations for process improvements and cost-saving opportunities
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to supply chain management
- Prepare and present reports and recommendations to senior management on supply chain performance and initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, with a proven track record of success
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proven ability to drive process improvements and cost-saving initiatives
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to supply chain management
- Certification in supply chain management (e.g. CSCP, CPIM) is a plus
