Job Summary:
As the Senior Manager of Government Contracts, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our client's government contracts, including compliance, negotiations, and relationship management. You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful execution of contracts and maintain a strong partnership with government agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of government contracts, from proposal development to contract closeout
- Ensure compliance with all government regulations and requirements
- Develop and maintain relationships with government agencies and stakeholders
- Lead contract negotiations and ensure favorable terms and conditions for the company
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies to win new government contracts
- Monitor contract performance and make recommendations for improvements
- Manage contract modifications, extensions, and renewals
- Prepare and submit required reports and documentation to government agencies
- Keep up-to-date with changes in government regulations and policies related to contracts and communicate any potential impacts to the company
- Train and mentor junior team members on government contract management best practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in government contract management, preferably in a leadership role
- Extensive knowledge of government regulations and policies related to contracts (e.g. FAR, DFAR, etc.)
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Experience with contract management software and tools
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if required
