Position Overview
The General and Vascular Imaging Ultrasound technologist is responsible for the day-to-day operations (patient flow) and efficiency of the ultrasound department.
- Performs a variety of Technical procedures.
- Assist Radiologist and Staff Physicians with test.
- Demonstrates ultrasound echo/vascular skills needed for all positions.
- Demonstrates good patient care.
- Utilizes the appropriate leadership skill in supervising students and providing feedback concerning student performance.
- Demonstrates good communication and problem solving skills.
- Is a professional role model for personnel.
- Provides an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors and employees.
- The ultrasound technologist will assess risks to patient safety and implement the appropriate precaution.
- The ultrasound technologist will comply with appropriate and approved standards relating to: patients, infection control, and environmental issues.

Qualifications
- American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, (ARDMS) and/or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Current CPR certification required.
