PRIMARY INSPECTION DUTIES

· Inspect parts in-process, such as first article or last article, to determine if particular machining operation is yielding conforming parts.
· Select the correct device for ensuring accurate measurements based on the precision of the device: caliper, micrometer, or CMM, for example.
· Sign-off on Quality Verification Records (QVRs) for each job handled for in-process and final inspection. For aerospace and medical jobs, sign-off on NWT process sheets. For customer-provided QA report templates, ensure the appropriate form is completed and returned to the customer.

· Assist in the implementation and maintenance of NWT’s ISO-certified quality management system where appropriate and necessary.
· Follow priority system in place for order of job inspections. Supervision/mgt. may supersede the order with rush or ‘machine down’ jobs to better service a Customer, requiring a fast pivot from one job to another.

· Maintain the integrity of the QA laboratory, including following guidelines for temperature control, cleanliness/organization of inspection equipment, and doors closed to keep out shop dust.
