Occupational Therapist (Full-Time)
Position Overview:
The Northwest Tri-County Intermediate Unit (IU5) is seeking three full-time Occupational Therapists (OT). The OT serves as a functioning member of the educational team with duties to include: screening, evaluation, educational programs, transition planning, therapeutic intervention, and exit planning for students identified with or suspected of having disabilities that interfere with school performance. This is a Tri-County Itinerant position, with the majority of services projected in the Erie City area. Most Early Intervention services will be in Erie County, but the position also involves providing services for Special Education, school-aged children, as assigned.
Start Date: 2025-2026 school year, starting July 1st with limited days in the Summer until August In-Service

180 instructional days, 7 in-service days, 7 days for summer work working on a stretch calendar

Required Qualifications:
- PA Licensure in Occupational Therapy
Essential Functions:
- Work with other disciplines to ensure team understanding of student occupational performance strengths and needs through evaluation, educational program planning and service delivery.
- Evaluates the student's ability and formulates the student's occupational profile through a variety of functional, behavioral, and standardized assessments, skilled observation, checklists, histories, and interviews.
- Interprets evaluation results into a comprehensive written report which reflects strengths and challenges to students participation in the educational environment, directs program development, and guides evidence based intervention.
Salary : $64,985 - $70,449
