Summary :
The primary responsibility of this role will be to coordinate the activities throughout production to ensure all products meet customer expectations, including efficient production, on-time shipping, and quality. This role is responsible for hiring and developing talent, following and enforcing safety requirements, and developing and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Primary Duties :
- Prioritize and distribute workload to production staff to meet and exceed quality and cost
- Monitor production processes to identify areas for improvement and implement efficiency-enhancing measures
- Ensuring adequate scheduling of staff and production stays on schedule
- Assure products meet quality standards
- Provide training on work processes and ensure processes are followed by all
- Lead, coach, motivate and engage work teams to accomplish operational objectives
- Actively involved in the development of employees through training, coaching, and performance review feedback
- Develop and maintain cross training and back-up plans for each role within manufacturing
- Promote safety by reinforcing or enforcing safety rules and safe work methods
- Conduct regular inspections and routine maintenance to assess equipment condition, facility cleanliness, and ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize performance and meet production targets
- Make suggestions for safety-related improvements and / or implement improvements to support continuous improvements in safety
- Communicating regularly with upper management regarding opportunities to positively impact production efficiency and product quality controls
- Support material procurement process and communicate inventory level needs
- Maintain accurate production records, generate daily and weekly reports, and provide updates on key metrics such as efficiency, and production output

Qualifications :
Compensation : The compensation for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications. The anticipated base pay for this role is $60,000 - $75,000 per year. NWS offers a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, and 401k.
