Content Specialist

Northwestern College has a full-time position opening, beginning July 1, for an individual who will tell NWC’s standout stories to a variety of constituencies as a member of the marketing & communications office. Responsibilities will include:

  • Writing for the Classic magazine, news releases, the website, and other projects
  • Assisting offices across campus with marketing efforts and communication needs
  • Updating web content and strategizing with others on the MarCom team how to consistently enhance Northwestern’s web presence
  • Managing a variety of projects, including photo shoots and event programs
  • Creating small graphic design projects

The successful candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, PR, journalism, English or a related field. At least one year of effective marketing and communications experience is preferred. This individual must possess outstanding writing and proofreading skills, including competence in AP style; demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective marketing plans and materials; proficiency in the use of Adobe Creative Suite products; a strong commitment to customer service and collaboration; excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities; and strong attention to detail.
