What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at Northwestern Community Services Board?
This position is part of the agency’s Finance Department. It is designed to assist the Chief Financial Officer to ensure fiscal accountability to the appropriate external parties and to generate sound fiscal data for internal programs management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Combination of relevant formal training and experience in public fund accounting and financial management required.
- The possession of knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform essential job duties required.
- Degree earned from an accredited college or university in a relevant Accounting and/or Financial Management preferred.
- Experience with a Munis based accounting/payroll system is preferred.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License, good driving record and the ability to provide own transportation.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- May be exposed to allergenic environments from client’s homes, including extreme heat, humidity, dust, smoke, pet contamination, cleaning supplies, etc.
- May be exposed to clients with infectious diseases
- Must be able to drive for long periods of time to visit clients in and out of the catchment area as needed
- Must be able to walk distances, climb and descend stairs, maneuver in and out of agency vehicles
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 25 pounds at time.
SALARY: Starting at $50,265.00
