What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Provider position at Northwestern Community Services Board?
This position is responsible for driving the agency’s vehicles, providing transportation for clients to and from Agency appointments and to and from the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Programs, which serve clients with long-term mental illness. This position will also be responsible for driving for other program-sponsored outings.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- A valid Virginia Driver’s license and a good driving record required
- Experience and/or training in safe driving practices and general vehicle maintenance required
- Working knowledge of basic first aid and medical resources required
- Must have mobility to travel and assist with client’s needs during outings that may include uneven terrain and climbing stairs
- Must be able to lift, maneuver and help clients with belongings getting on and off van
- Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of driving
- Frequent, sitting, walking, standing, stooping and lifting independently up to 40 pounds; Occasional lifting up to 75 pounds may be required
- Must possess manual dexterity to operate hydraulic wheelchair lift
HOURLY: $15.36/hr
