What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Childhood Specialist position at Northwestern Counseling & Support Services Inc?
The Early Childhood Support Team at Northwestern Counseling & Support services is seeking individuals who are interested in providing intervention and prevention based services to families with children age birth to six to promote and support childrens healthy social, emotional, and behavioral development.
Ideal candidates should be patient, responsible, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively with a larger treatment team. This position requires client transportation and driving around Franklin and Grand Isle Counties mileage outside of your regular commute is reimbursable.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Supporting families of young children who have a mental health need or developmental disability to access and coordinate needed social, medical, educational, social or other community based services.
- Comprehensive care coordination with providers, families, guardians, local service agencies, child care settings, medical professionals, and other supports as necessary.
- Providing direct care to families in their preferred setting (home, child care, in the community).
