What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian position at Northwestern CT YMCA?
Canaan YMCA is looking for a responsible person to join our part-time staff as custodian. This position is essential in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming facility.
Responsibilities:
- Clean locker rooms & showers.
- Sweep, mop, dust, vacuum, remove trash.
- Clean windows, mirrors, restrooms and common areas.
- Replenish supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper).
- Clean/wipe down fitness equipment.
- Clean pool area.
- basic maintenance/repair duties as needed.
Requirements:
Must be able to perform repetitive motion functions and lift over 20 lbs.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be able to communicate effectively and demonstrate Y Core Values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
Shift: Part-time, 20 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 4pm-8pm
