Cathodic Protection Work
NorthWestern Energy has an opening for a Corrosion Aide to assist in cathodic protection work, including pipe-to-soil potential readings and compliance surveys. The selected candidate will work under the direction of the local corrosion technician.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform pipe-to-soil potential readings
- Complete compliance surveys on corrosion control for steel distribution lines
- Provide assistance to the Division Corrosion Technician
- Enter data into a handheld device
- Work 4-10 hour days per week with three-day weekends
- Meet physical requirements, including walking, lifting, and working in inclement weather
- Maintain company safety standards and Code of Business Conduct & Ethics
Required Skills:
- Good safety record
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to become Operator Qualified for identified tasks (training provided)
- Basic computer skills for data gathering and download
- Reliability and independence
- Age 18 or older and a high school diploma or equivalent by first day of employment
