Database Administrator
Work Location : Major Service locations in Montana and South Dakota will be considered
Pay range : $54,000 to $115,000 per year
Database Administrator I - Starting Range : $54,000 - $81,000
Entry Level position - Bachelor's degree preferred. Equivalent relevant work experience that provides knowledge and exposure to fundamental job-related theories, principles and concepts may be considered.
Database Administrator II - Starting Range : $62,900 - $94,300
Typically, 1 to 4 years of relevant work experience. Intermediate working knowledge of relevant technical discipline including databases, data security and servers.
Database Administrator III - Starting Range : $72,200 - $108,200
Typically, 4 years of relevant work experience - Bachelor's degree preferred. Intermediate to Advanced level technical skills designing and implementing database solutions and database system management.
Senior Database Administrator - Starting Range : $81,200 - $115,000
8 years of relevant experience - Bachelor's degree preferred. May include an advanced degree in a technical discipline. Advanced level technical skills designing and implementing database solutions and database system management.

The Database Administrators work in a fast-paced team environment providing top tier database support relative to Northwestern Energy's technology systems. This position requires innovative thinking, database experience, analytical aptitude, and business acumen skills. The successful candidate will work hand-in-hand with other members of the Business Technology Team to ensure optimal solutions, availability, performance and support of database platforms and data integration solutions amongst disparate systems. This role will act as a hands-on subject matter expert within the team. Our work is very rewarding and is a highly valued function within the Northwestern Energy Enterprise.
