Regulatory and SQF Specialist

Northwestern Extract Company is a 100 year old Wisconsin-based food and beverage flavor manufacturer seeking a Regulatory and SQF Specialist. The ideal candidate will not only be a strong independent worker but has the qualities of an excellent team player and communicator. This individual will be able to thrive within a small business setting. The candidate should have excellent math skills, be highly-motivated, detail-oriented, and have the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment independently. Reporting directly to the Food Safety Manager, job duties include:

• Fulfill any customer documentation requests
• Help manage food safety program. Change and amend where necessary
• Coordinate changes and training for applicable departments
• Create safety data sheets, nutritional’s, spec sheets, and all other regulatory documents
• Maintain supplier approval list and supplier documentation
• Assist with maintenance requirements and ensure food safety is maintained during maintenance activities
• Assist with environmental swabbing program and conduct quarterly swabbing
• Conduct yearly reviews on programs, assess complaints/problems, conduct trending analysis, and implement improvements where necessary
• Assist and maintain organic regulations and certification
• Assist and maintain pest control program
• Create, manage and assist with new certifications as necessary
• SQF/Regulatory specialist will need to effectively manage time and workload to provide information and documentation to customers
