Position Information:
Looking for a great opportunity to provide therapeutic massage to clients in an integrative care clinic? The NWHSU Bloomington Clinic is Northwestern Health Sciences University's largest clinic providing care with multiple disciplines in a fee for service setting. The clinic has over 30 years of history in providing quality patient/client centered care. The candidate will have the ability to not only work with a variety of client cases, but also will have the opportunity to work with a variety of providers with different specialties in their fields. A great opportunity for a Massage Therapist who desires to work in a busy environment caring for clients.
This is a part time, non-benefits eligible position, working 15-19 hours per week. Providers are paid on a revenue share basis.
Work Location: Bloomington, MN in-person
Duties:
- Manages client care with the approved policies and procedures of the NWHSU clinic system and within clinical scope of practice.
- Provide the highest quality care possible utilizing evidence informed practices and assist each patient to reach his or her goals while maintaining a strong provider/client relationship ensuring client satisfaction.
- Discipline appropriate initial assessment of client based on history and observations.
- Promote and exemplify integrative care principles while providing client education within scope of practice.
- Monitors client progress and ensures appropriate follow-up care. Refer clients to internal or external healthcare professions as necessary and indicated by clinical findings.
- Complete all necessary client documentation in accordance with University Quality Documentation Standards and Paperwork Timeline Policy using University EHR.
- Conduct informed consent with each new clients prior to treatment and on an annual basis.
- Participate in public speaking, community event activities, and/or publish articles in a newspaper for purposes of increasing patient utilization of University clinics.
- Participate in relationship building or marketing activities sponsored by NWHSU.
- Actively recruit new patients through individual business development activities.
- Establish and maintain business relationships with internal and external providers.
Additional duties:
- Attend meetings (team meetings and individual provider group meetings), educational seminars, and clinic in services (i.e. HIPAA training, CPR, coding and documentation, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
What you need to have?
- High school diploma or GED plus completion of an accredited massage therapy program.
- 1-3 years experience working in clinical settings.
- Board Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Body Work, required.
- Certified in Craniosacral Therapy, Lymphatic Drainage, Shiatsu, and CPR/BLS, preferred.
