NMC is currently recruiting for an ED Tech II in the Emergency Department. This position is a full-time (80 hours bi-weekly) position, hours are generally 3p-11:30p (one night a week 11p-7:30a) and every other weekend.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Emergency Department Technician plans and implements assigned patient care in collaboration with the Nursing staff in the department. The ED Technicians provides direct patient care for patients of all age groups and under a wide variety of circumstances, documents patient information.
PREREQUISITES:
Education: HS diploma or equivalent required. National Registered (EMT-A) Emergency Medical Technician Advanced certification or Paramedic required.
Other: Must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. Identifies each patients age specific needs and provide the care needed by the pediatric, adolescent, and/or geriatric patient group.
Certifications Required: BLS required. AVADE training required within 6 months of hire.
