NMC is currently recruiting for a LNA.This position is a full-time (72 hours bi-weekly) position, hours are generally 7p-7 : 30a and every other weekend.
The LNA plans and implements assigned patient care in collaboration with the nursing staff on the unit. The LNA provides direct patient care for patients of all age groups under a wide variety of circumstances, including patient sitting / care companion and documents patient information. The LNA will also provide support on the assigned unit that may include reception and clerical functions while interacting professionally with staff to facilitate a healing environment for staff, patients, families and visitors. After training the LNA will perform EKG's and phlebotomy procedures as necessary.
Education : High school graduate or equivalent with a current licensure as a Licensed Nursing Assistant in the State of Vermont.
Experience : Experience as a LNA in a hospital setting preferred. Computer experience required. Phlebotomy and ECG experience preferred.
Certifications : BLS required
Other : Knowledge of basic medical terminology. Communicates clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing. Has the ability to organize and prioritize multiple competing demands. Has an approachable, friendly demeanor.
